Great Western

Great Western has a first-day coverage (Great Assurance), a Graded death benefit, and the Guaranteed Issue (Guaranteed Assurance).

Great Western has the 3 plans all on the same application and an instant-decision underwriting. They no longer accept paper applications.

They pay commissions daily, bi-weekly, or monthly and offer a six or nine month advance from $500 to $1,500 depending on the type of policy issued.

Great Western still accepts credit card payments including Social Security and Supplemental Security Income prepaid Direct Express debit cards from Visa or MC.

They do not accept paper applications. All applications are taken through the online portal.

Pre-appointment required in FL, GA, MA, MT, NM, PA, TX, VA and WI.

Face Amounts:

Ages 50-80    $2,500-$40,000 

Ages 81-85    $2,000- $25,000

RIDERS:

Accelerated Death Benefit included

Accidental Death Rider: Optional

Child/Grandchild Protection Rider: Optional coverage that the applicant can purchase at the time of the application or during a qualifying event for only $1.00 per month on policies with a face amount of $5,000 or more.  The rider will pay $2,500 on the death of a dependent child or grandchild.

Simple health questions and no health exam.

Graded Benefit: Two-year Modified plan

Ages: 50-85

Non-Tobacco/Tobacco issue classes

Face Amount:

Ages 50-80   $2,500-$40,000 

Ages 81-85   $2,000- $25,000

Graded Death Benefit: 30%of face amount payable the 1st year, 70% payable the 2nd year, and 100% payable in the 3rd year.

Guaranteed Assurance: Guarantee Issue plan

Ages: 40-80

Face Amount: $1,000 to $25,000

Limited Death Benefit: 110% of the premiums paid minus any loan in Years 1 and 2. After 2 years, the full death benefit is paid.
